Yunier Díaz (Matanzas, Cuba) trained as an art instructor (2006) and graduated in Communication Sciences from Universidad Camilo Cienfuegos (2013). From 2018 to 2022 he was Head Artist at Galería Bar ArtYs in Matanzas. His work moves between the intimacy of portraiture and the public scale of the mural: realism as a starting point, expressive composition and Caribbean light, flora and fauna as material and memory.
